The company will provide appropriate health assessment and surveillance, training, safety devices and personal protective equipment and clothing as is necessary to safeguard the Health, Safety and Welfare of its employees. All employees have a legal responsibility and duty to take reasonable care to ensure their own safety and that of other persons who may be affected by their work activities.
Disciplinary action will be taken against any employee, regardless of status, who willfully or deliberately disregards, or who is consistently negligent in conforming to, the company’s safety policy. Failure to comply with current legislation concerning Health & Safety at Work may amount to gross misconduct, which may lead to summary dismissal.
This policy will be kept up to date, particularly as the business changes in nature and size. To ensure this, the policy and the way in which it has operated will be reviewed at least every year.
This statement of policy and responsibilities, having been adopted by the Company, will be made available to all employees and will be displayed on notice boards and distributed to all staff.
